Jakob Hartman

Freeride mountain biker, coach, mechaic and trail builder. With over a decade of riding experience, PMBI certification and crankworx medals under my name. I specialize in higher and advanced level MTB coaching with an emphasis on jumping and tricks in the Sea to Sky corridor. Over the years I've competed in numerous slopestyle and dirt jump events, Crankworx, rode the Joyride course and am passionate in sharing my skills with others to build their confidence and progress their riding.

Jump skill progression
The sessions generaly happen at a local dirt jump park with sample progression opportunities. The day starts with a bike set up and check over, followed by a warm up and a discussion about the goals we are trying to reach during the time. After that and an initial assessment, it gets tailored to fulfill the desired goals. It could be initial confidence building and working on how to approach jumps, getting comfortable in the air and building up to bigger jumps and steeper lips. Once comfortable on the set up and with jumping, we can progress the riding and if desired, begin adding tricks.
